LX-PREMIUM Glass

The LX-PREMIUM glass, thanks to its multilayer structure, offers advantages in cleaning, transparency, durability, and impact resistance.

Description

All traditional anti-RX glass available on the market, due to its high lead content, is easily affected by external agents (humidity, grease, liquids), which cause surface oxidation, resulting in clouding of the glass and reduced transparency.

“LX-PREMIUM”, thanks to its special multilayer structure, combines the well-established radiation protection advantages of the traditional “LX-57B” glass with the benefits of easy cleaning, long-lasting transparency, and high mechanical impact resistance, achieved by sandwiching the “LX-57B” anti-RX glass between two regular glass layers with specific films, making it “SHATTERPROOF”.

  • Long-lasting high transparency. Thanks to the external protection of “LX-PREMIUM”, it does not oxidise when exposed to cleaning agents, grease or sweat from hands, organic liquids, or during disinfection and sterilisation.
  • Cleaning and maintenance. Both cleaning and maintenance are extremely easy and safe, as “LX-PREMIUM” can be cleaned, treated, disinfected, and sterilised like standard domestic glass.
  • Safety / strength. Thanks to its multilayer structure, “LX-PREMIUM” is considered “SHATTERPROOF” glass. In the event of particularly strong impacts, if it breaks, it does not chip but fractures while remaining intact, forming a web-like structure (similar to automotive glass), thus satisfying all mandatory regulatory and legal requirements (including EU Directive 89/391/EEC and other occupational safety standards) for public and hospital environments.
